Job summary

Blakeney Pediatric Dentistry in Charlotte, NC is seeking an experienced Dental Assistant II to join our pediatric team. This full-time position offers a $1,000 sign-on bonus for qualified applicants and a schedule of 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday.

As a Dental Assistant II, you will assist dentists chairside, sterilize instruments, take dental X-rays, educate families on oral care, and help with front-office tasks as needed. CDA or EFDA certification and pediatric experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have CDA or EFDA certification.
• Coronal Polishing & Nitrous Oxide certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Minimum of 2 years of dental assisting experience.
• Pediatric experience preferred.
• Familiarity with Curve dental software.
• Bilingual skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist pediatric dentists chairside during procedures, ensuring seamless patient care.
• Prepare, sterilize, and organize instruments and equipment.
• Create a welcoming and comforting experience for children.
• Capture dental X-rays in compliance with safety guidelines.
• Educate parents and caregivers on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Maintain accurate patient records and assist with front-office support as needed.
