The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) is seeking a Dental Assistant II to be responsible for providing support in various dental procedures.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Assists residents, faculty, and students during procedures.
2. Ensures all patient documentation is maintained in a complete and accurate manner.
3. Sterilizes and cleans all surgical instruments, supplies, and dental assist units.
4. Takes radiographs of patients as requested by doctor.
5. Maintains surgery rooms in a neat and orderly fashion.
6. Dispenses dental supplies to students and residents.
7. Performs a variety of clerical and administrative duties in support of the department.
8. Responds effectively to the needs of neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, and geriatric patients as required.
9. Performs other duties as assigned.

Salary: $32,500

Graduate from an accredited Dental Assistant Program required. Work experience may substitute for education requirement.
