Job summary

UTHealth Houston’s School of Dentistry seeks a Dental Assistant I/II for our Bellaire Clinic in Bellaire, TX. You will support faculty and students, prepare instruments, sterilize gear, maintain records, and help ensure smooth clinic operations.

The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, experience with dental supply management, and a commitment to excellent patient care in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a recognized dental assistant program preferred.
• Texas State Board of Dental Examiners (TSBDE) certification/eligibility required.

Responsibilities

• Assist dental staff and students in examinations and treatments.
• Provide chairside assistance to students and faculty.
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and supplies.
• Maintain patient records and treatment materials.
• Maintain infection control standards and safety practices.
• Respond to emergency situations and support clinic operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
