Job summary

North American Dental Group is seeking a Dental Assistant to support the practice team with exceptional clinical care and patient-focused service. The role involves patient preparation, radiography, charting, and assisting dentists during procedures in a busy dental setting.

Applicants should have a Dental Assisting Certification (or on-the-job training) and CPR; radiography certification is required. This full-time position offers benefits and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

  • Dental Assisting Certification or on-the-job training.
  • 1–5 years of experience preferred; new graduates considered.
  • Radiography/X-Ray certification for the respective state.
  • CPR Certification required.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite.
  • Commitment to providing exceptional service, support, and education to patient.

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent chair-side clinical support to Doctors and Hygienists including charting and patient education.
  • Record and review patient health history and manage chart entries as directed.
  • Review daily schedule to set up appropriate trays and instruments.
  • Prepare patients, sterilize and disinfect instruments, and assist dentists during procedures per OSHA.
  • Expose and develop dental radiographs.
  • Follow OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, X-rays and other required certifications.

Monday-Tuesday:9:00 am - 5:00 pm
Wednesday:8:00 am - 4:00 pm
Thursday:9:00 am - 5:00 pm
Friday:9:00 am - 4:00 pm

Responsibilities

Dental Assistant partners with the practice team to provide excellent clinical support to help patients get the care they need. Dental Assistant will help prepare the patient for treatment and assist the dentist in restorative dentistry.

Skills Required to Make a Great “Impression” on Our Team

  • Provides excellent chair-side clinical support and assistance to Doctors and Hygienists which includes but is not limited to: charting, operatory set/clean up, and patient education.
  • Records and reviews patient health history, makes chart entries under the doctor's direction and assures completion of forms and signatures in dental software.
  • Reviews the daily schedule to set up appropriate trays and instruments.
  • Prepares patients, sterilizes and disinfects instruments, sets up instrument trays, maintains chain of asepsis, prepares materials, and assists dentists during dental procedures following OSHA guidelines.
  • Exposes and develops dental diagnostic radiographs.
  • Follows OSHA regulations and safety requirements to include compliance with HIPAA guidelines, CPR, X-rays, and other required certifications and registrations.
Qualifications

  • 1-5 years of experience preferred; will consider new graduates
