Job summary

North American Dental Group is seeking a Dental Assistant to provide exceptional clinical support, assist the dentist during procedures, and help prepare patients for treatment. Emphasis is on maintaining asepsis, accurate charting, and delivering patient education.

The ideal candidate holds a Dental Assisting Certification (or on-the-job training), CPR, and radiography certification, with 1–5 years of experience preferred.

Qualifications

  • Dental Assisting Certification or equivalent on-the-job training.
  • 1–5 years of experience preferred; new graduates considered.
  • Radiography/X-ray certification for the respective state is required.
  • CPR Certification required.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and dental software entry.

Responsibilities

  • Provide chair-side clinical support to doctors and hygienists.
  • Assist the dentist in restorative dentistry and prepare patients for treatment.
  • Maintain asepsis, prepare instruments and trays, and sterilize equipment.
  • Exposures and development of dental radiographs following OSHA guidelines.

Responsibilities

Dental Assistant partners with the practice team to provide excellent clinical support to help patients get the care they need. Dental Assistant will help prepare the patient for treatment and assist the dentist in restorative dentistry.

Skills Required to Make a Great "Impression" on Our Team
  • Provides excellent chair-side clinical support and assistance to Doctors and Hygienists which includes but is not limited to: charting, operatory set/clean up, and patient education.
  • Records and reviews patient health history, makes chart entries under the doctor's direction and assures completion of forms and signatures in dental software.
  • Reviews the daily schedule to set up appropriate trays and instruments.
  • Prepares patients, sterilizes and disinfects instruments, sets up instrument trays, maintains chain of asepsis, prepares materials, and assists dentists during dental procedures following OSHA guidelines.
  • Exposes and develops dental diagnostic radiographs.
  • Follows OSHA regulations and safety requirements to include compliance with HIPAA guidelines, CPR, X-rays, and other required certifications and registrations.
Qualifications
  • Dental Assisting Certification or prior on the job training
  • 1-5 years of experience preferred; will consider new graduates
  • Radiography/ X-RAY certification for respective state
  • CPR Certification required
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite
