Job summary

North American Dental Group partners with practices across Ohio to deliver best-in-class patient care with empathy. The Dental Assistant will support the dentist and hygienists, prepare patients for treatment, and help maintain sterile environments following OSHA guidelines.

The successful candidate will have a Dental Assisting Certification (or on-the-job training), radiography certification, CPR, and proficiency with MS Office. 1–5 years of experience is preferred; new graduates considered.

Qualifications

• Dental Assisting Certification or prior on-the-job training.
• Radiography/X‑RAY certification for respective state.
• CPR Certification required.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite.
• 1‑5 years of experience preferred; will consider new graduates.

Responsibilities

• Provides excellent chair-side clinical support to Doctors and Hygienists which includes but is not limited to: charting, operatory set/clean up, and patient education.
• Records and reviews patient health history, makes chart entries under the doctor's direction and assures completion of forms and signatures in dental software.
• Reviews the daily schedule to set up appropriate trays and instruments.
• Prepares patients, sterilizes and disinfects instruments, sets up instrument trays, maintains chain of asepsis, prepares materials, and assists dentists during dental procedures following OSHA guidelines.
• Exposes and develops dental diagnostic radiographs.
• Follows OSHA regulations and safety requirements to include compliance with HIPAA guidelines, CPR, X‑rays, and other required certifications and registrations.
