Job summary

Metro Dentalcare St. Paul, MN is seeking a licensed Dental Assistant to join our Heartland Dental supported office. You will greet patients, review health histories, take x-rays, and provide four-handed chairside assistance to our dentists.

Join a collaborative team, with Dentrix scheduling and a focus on safety and high-quality patient care. Minnesota license or in process is required, with HIPAA training and ongoing education opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minnesota license (or in process) required.
• Certification and/or x-ray certification if required.
• Experience in fast-paced, patient-centric dental setting.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients from the start of their dental journey, and educate throughout treatment.
• Review patient health history to ensure quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and other diagnostic assessments (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography).
• Provide chairside assistance (four-handed dentistry) to dentists during procedures.
• Use Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping.
• Prepare treatment room following safety protocols and OSHA & CDC guidance.
• Manage supply and inventory levels and place/expedite orders as needed.
• Collaborate with providers to implement Heartland Dental systems and maximize office workflow.
