Job summary

East Rochester Family Dentistry, supported by Heartland Dental, is seeking a Dental Assistant to join our growing team. The role is full-time with a Monday–Friday schedule, offering $25–$28 per hour depending on experience and a benefits package.

As a Dental Assistant, you’ll support dentists with four-handed dentistry, take x-rays, manage supplies, and keep patient comfort at the forefront. You’ll work in a collaborative setting that values learning and patient care excellence.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience working in a fast-paced and customer-centric environment.
• If required under state dental practice act, dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• HIPAA training and PHI protection knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and ensure comfort and education throughout treatment.
• Review health history to provide quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and other diagnostics.
• Provide four-handed chairside assistance to dentists.
• Use Dentrix for scheduling and records.
• Prepare treatment room per safety protocols (OSHA/CDC).
• Manage supplies and place expeditious orders.
• Partner with providers to optimize office workflow.
