Job summary

Western Mass Periodontics & Implant Specialists, affiliated with Affinity Dental Management, is seeking a full-time Dental Assistant in Pittsfield, MA. No prior perio experience required; paid hands-on training will develop implant, grafting, and advanced periodontal skills.

Qualifications

• Previous DA experience preferred.
• Radiography certification and CPR certification preferred, or willingness to obtain.
• Familiarity with chairside assisting, sterilization, infection control, and clinical safety protocols.
• Strong communication, organization, and patient-care skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide chairside assistance during periodontal, implant, grafting, surgical, and non-surgical procedures.
• Prepare patients, operatories, instruments, materials, and equipment for treatment.
• Support providers throughout procedures by anticipating clinical needs and maintaining efficient surgical flow.
• Take and process digital x-rays and assist with imaging.
• Follow sterilization, infection-control, OSHA, biohazard, and surgical safety protocols.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and treatment-ready operatories.
