Western Mass Periodontics in Pittsfield, MA is hiring a part-time Dental Hygienist to support advanced periodontal care and patient education. Applicants should hold an MA dental hygiene license, CPR certification, and an ADA‑accredited degree; SRP and anesthesia credentials are a plus.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher from an ADA-accredited dental hygiene program.
• Active MA dental hygiene license and CPR certification.
• 1+ year experience preferred; new graduates welcome.

Responsibilities

• Greet and prepare patients for hygiene procedures.
• Perform scaling, root planing, and fluoride treatments.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and preventive care.
• Conduct head, neck, and oral cancer exams.
• Identify periodontal needs and collaborate with the dentist to provide exceptional care.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and OSHA-compliant workspace.
• Note: This role does not include capturing and interpreting x-rays.
