Our Dental Assistants assist in the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a dentist.

Responsibilities

Daily Duties:

maintain

instruments

and supplies

basic

and

some

moderately

complex

dental

procedures

• Assisting
  
  

in handing instruments and materials to dentists and keep patients' mouths dry and clear by using suction or other devices

• Sterilize
  
  

and disinfect instruments and equipment

• Prepare
  
  

trays

of instruments for dental procedures, and instruct patients on postoperative and general oral health care.

health histories

• Taking
  
  

and

developing

x-rays

and

preparing

dental

compounds

pouring

and

trimming dental impressions, and seating temporary restorations.

Qualifications

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND LICENSE:

• Active
  
  

Dental

Assistant Certificate

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross required
  
  

Preferred Experience, Education, And License
