Job summary

Spectrum Healthcare Resources has a potential opportunity for a Dental Assistant to join our team at the Daytona Beach VA Clinic in Daytona Beach, FL. This is a full-time role with typical hours from 8am to 4:30pm, Monday through Friday.

Requirements include a CODA-accredited program, 1 year of dental assisting experience, four-handed dentistry proficiency, a dental radiological certificate and current BLS/CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Completion of a CODA-accredited dental assisting program.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a dental assistant.
• Competent in four-handed dentistry and assisting with oral surgery, periodontal therapy, endodontics, prosthodontics and implant procedures.
• Dental Radiological Certificate.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform chairside assistance in all stages of dentistry, including prosthodontics, periodontics, OMS and endodontics.
• Receive routing patients, document patient care, and provide post-op instructions to patients.
• Instruct and support dental trainees in the clinic.
