Job summary

DOCS Dental is seeking a Dental Assistant to support care on Army and Air Force bases, assisting dentists, preparing patients, and maintaining infection control. The role emphasizes patient rapport, efficiency, and compliance with dental software and equipment.

Required are a DANB/Dental Assistant Radiology License, X-Ray and CPR/BLS certifications, plus a valid driver’s license. Real ID readiness is encouraged; preferred EDDA and Coronal Polishing certs are a plus.

Qualifications

• Current Dental Assistant Radiology License / DANB Certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in dental assisting.
• X-Ray Certification required.
• CPR/BLS Certification required.
• Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.
• Willingness to obtain a Real ID before employment.
• Preferred: Expanded Duty Dental Assistant and Coronal Polishing certifications.

Responsibilities

• Building rapport with patients and fostering a welcoming atmosphere.
• Preparing patients for dental procedures, ensuring they feel comfortable and informed.
• Mastering dental software and equipment to assist in treatment efficiency.
• Sterilizing and disinfecting instruments and maintaining infection control standards.
• Supporting dentists during procedures, including setup, breakdown, and disposal of biohazards.
• Managing clerical duties, including daily and monthly reporting, with strong attention to detail.
