Pay

• $18 - $27 per hour

Requirements

• License & Certification: X-ray / Radiography Certification
• Valid Dental X-Ray Certification is required
• Strong knowledge of dental anatomy, procedures, and medical imaging techniques
• Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team
• Commitment to patient confidentiality and strict adherence to HIPAA standards
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new dental technologies and procedures

Preferences

• Software Experience: Open Dental, Eaglesoft
• Experience with Dentrix or similar dental practice management software is preferred
• Previous experience in general dentistry and pediatric dental support is a plus

Job Description

• Assist dentists during a variety of procedures including examinations, cleanings, treatments, and pediatric dental care
• Prepare, sterilize, and organize dental instruments and equipment in accordance with strict safety standards
• Take and develop dental X-rays and 3D scans as needed, ensuring precision and patient comfort
• Accurately record patient medical histories, vital signs, and treatment details
• Maintain patient records using Dentrix or similar dental software, adhering to HIPAA regulations
• Educate patients and families on oral hygiene and post-treatment care instructions
• Support front desk operations by scheduling appointments and coordinating patient flow with the receptionist
• Create a welcoming and supportive environment, especially for pediatric patients, facilitating child-specific dental procedures
• Stay current with industry practices and continually develop skills to provide excellent patient care
