Job summary

Prime Dental in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking a friendly Dental Assistant to join our team and deliver exceptional patient care in a welcoming, patient-focused environment.

This full-time role offers $15-$24 per hour, with training provided for the right candidate and opportunities to grow within the practice.

Qualifications

• Active Indiana Dental Radiographer License or X-ray Certification.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent customer service and teamwork.
• Ability to follow OSHA & CDC guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service to patients.
• Prepare treatment rooms for exams and procedures.
• Escort patients and ensure their comfort throughout visits.
• Take and process dental X-rays (Certification Required).
• Sterilize instruments and maintain infection control standards.
• Assist the dentist during procedures with chairside support.
• Update patient records and clinical notes accurately.
• Monitor inventory and order dental supplies.
• Perform expanded functions (EFDA preferred).

Requirements

• License & Certification: X-ray / Radiography Certification
• Active Indiana Dental Radiographer License (X-Ray Certification)
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong communication & teamwork skills
• Ability to follow OSHA & CDC guidelines

Preferences

• 1+ years of dental assisting experience
• Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certification
• Prophy & Fluoride Certification
• Experience with Dentrix Ascend software
• Graduate of a dental assisting program
