Job summary

Heartland Dental in Huntley, IL seeks an experienced Dental Assistant to join a state-of-the-art practice. The role focuses on delivering high-quality dental care, supporting clinicians with four-handed dentistry, and maintaining rigorous safety and PHI protections.

The ideal candidate has Dentrix experience, knowledge of implants, crowns and bridges, and fabrication of temporary crowns, with strong communication and organizational skills. Weekend or evening shifts additional as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience with fast-paced dental environments and strong patient communication.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• HIPAA training and PHI protection awareness.

Responsibilities

• Greet and guide patients through their dental journey and educate them as needed.
• Review patient health history to ensure quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and facilitate imaging (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography).
• Provide four-handed chairside assistance during procedures.
• Use Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping.
• Prepare treatment rooms following OSHA/CDC guidelines.
• Manage inventory and coordinate orders to ensure smooth workflow.
