Job summary

Responsibilities

• Perform dental assisting duties under supervision as per State Dental Practice Act and Administrative Rules, including topical anesthetic application, suture removal, tissue retraction, rubber dam placement, and radiographic exposure.
• Support orthodontic procedures by preparing bands, removing appliances, taking intra-oral measurements, and ensuring records are accurate and accessible to providers.
• Prepare and maintain instruments, supplies, and a clean operating field; assist in patient flow, record keeping, and handling emergency situations.
• Greet patients, explain procedures, answer questions, and promote patient comfort and adherence to Kaiser Permanente guidelines.
