Job summary

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a Dental Assistant to support dentists, hygienists, and other providers in a Kaiser Permanente dental office. You will perform four-handed dentistry, assist with exams, and maintain infection control standards.

Responsibilities include radiography, patient education, record-keeping, and ensuring a smooth patient flow under licensed supervision. WA certificates and BLS are required or in progress.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of ADA-accredited dental assisting program or approved externship.
• Washington RDA registration or eligibility required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Radiography and sealant/fluoride certificates per state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentists, hygienists, and other providers in dental care delivery.
• Perform duties within scope of practice under licensed supervision.
• Apply topical anesthetic and desensitizers as directed.
• Expose dental radiographs and manage imaging records.
• Maintain clean operatory and ensure infection control per guidelines.
• Prepare instruments, materials, and trays for procedures.
• Train patients in oral hygiene techniques.
