Job summary

Tuba City Regional Health Care Corporation is seeking a Dental Assistant to provide chair-side support across multiple dental specialties, including restorative, surgery, endodontics and periodontics. You will greet patients, take radiographs, prepare instruments, and uphold infection control standards in a fast-paced clinic.

The role requires DA training, BLS certification, and the ability to work with EDR/EHR systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a dental assistant training course 13 weeks or longer; exception if no course but 1 year DA experience in past 3 years.
• Active BLS certification by the American Heart Association required and maintained during employment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patient for procedures by setting up instruments.
• Sterilize dental instruments and equipment.
• Organize and lay out instruments for provider’s use.
• Meet and seat patients in the dental chair.
• Monitor patient condition during treatment and respond to distress.
• Assist with routine dental procedures and radiographs as directed.
• Work with EDR and EHR systems; training will be provided.
• Complete mandatory trainings and certifications as required.
