Job summary

Towncare Dental of Cooper City in Cooper City, FL is seeking a Dental Assistant to support the clinical team by preparing treatment rooms, sterilizing instruments, and assisting dentists during procedures.

Candidates must have a one-year certified dental assistant program or six months on-the-job experience, plus X-ray certification; Nitrous Oxide certification is highly recommended. The office offers modern technology and a team-focused environment.

Qualifications

Completion of a one-year certified dental assistant program.
Six months on-the-job experience (with supporting documentation).
X-Ray certification.
Nitrous Oxide certification is highly recommended.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Dental Assistant qualifications require annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training as required by law.

Responsibilities

Clinical Support: Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
Patient Care: Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
Radiography & Diagnostics: Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
Compliance & Safety: Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake (if needed).
Helps dentist manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and emergency telephone directory.
