Job summary

Aspen Dental is seeking a Dental Assistant to support clinical needs and assist doctors in a busy practice in Minnesota. You will receive training, enjoy a competitive hourly wage, and benefit from a flexible schedule in a team-focused environment.

As a Dental Assistant, you will take x-rays, prepare operatory, sterilize instruments, and educate patients on oral health while delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to community smiles.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients of all ages.
• Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
• Ability to work collaboratively with the dental team to provide exceptional patient care.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Active license or permit as required, including x-ray certification if required.

Responsibilities

• Assist during a variety of treatment procedures
• Take dental x-rays
• Set up and break down operatory post treatment
• Execute patient handoffs and monitor patient flow within the practice
• Manage infection control – prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment
• Educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain good oral health
• Complete denture relines and fabricate temporary crowns
• Perform quality impressions and bite registrations
• Perform digital intraoral scans
• Support patient charting for doctors
• Perform various office tasks as necessary
• Collaborate with practice team to ensure optimum patient satisfaction
