Job summary

ProSmile in Chicago is seeking a Dental Assistant to support clinical staff and patients in a fast-paced practice. You will assist chairside with patient care, recordkeeping, and scheduling under the supervision of dentists.

The role requires a high school diploma, radiology certification, and licensing or the willingness to obtain licensure. Strong communication, organization, and flexibility are essential, with the possibility of evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Eligibility for state licensure as Dental Radiologic Technologist (DRT) or willing to pursue licensure immediately.
• Radiation Health and Safety certificate required.
• Certified Dental Assistant certificate is preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Dental Assistant.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and flexible scheduling including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate knowledge of dental instruments and assist the dentist chairside.
• Maintain inventory in operatories.
• Adhere to OSHA, HIPAA, and CDC guidelines.
• Interact with patients regarding scheduling and post-treatment information.
• Perform basic lab procedures such as impressions and preparing cases for external labs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
