Job summary

Willamette Dental in Hazel Dell, WA is seeking a Dental Assistant to support the dentist, hygienist and other providers, delivering dental care with emphasis on patient comfort and safety. You will prepare instruments, take radiographs, obtain medical history, and ensure sterilization and PPE compliance.

Responsibilities include four-handed dentistry under a dentist's supervision, patient education, impressions, and potential travel to other WD locations as needed to meet patient demand.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and credentials to function as a Dental Assistant per state requirements.
• ADA accredited program or EFDA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain instruments, equipment and materials for all dental procedures.
• Work under the supervision of a dentist performing four-handed dentistry.
• Counsel patients on post-operative care and oral health; demonstrate evidence-based dentistry.
• Take and develop dental radiographs.
• Obtain medical history, blood pressure and pulse.
• Take impressions for study casts.
• Clean and sterilize instruments according to PPE and OSHA/WISHA policies.
• Maintain a clean sterilization area; wear PPE as required.
• Travel to other Willamette Dental locations within a reasonable range as needed.
