Job summary

Argyle Dental Center in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Dental Assistant to support our clinical team with high standards of patient care in a team-based setting.

Responsibilities include room setup, sterilization, assisting dentists, patient education, and radiography. Prior dental assisting experience is required; CPR/OSHA/HIPAA training is expected and ongoing. Benefits include flexible scheduling and strong professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of dental assisting experience.
• X-ray certification is required.
• Nitrous oxide certification is highly recommended.
• Annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Clinical Support: Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
• Patient Care: Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Radiography & Diagnostics: Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake.
• Help the dentist manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification and emergency supplies.

Education

One-year certified dental assistant program

X-Ray certification

Nitrous Oxide certification

High school diploma or equivalent
