Advanced Dental Care Mandarin in Jacksonville, FL seeks a Dental Assistant to support our clinical team with patient care and room preparation. You will sterilize instruments, assist dentists, take X-rays, and educate patients on post-treatment care.

Qualifications

• Completion of a one-year certified dental assistant program or six months on-the-job experience with documentation.
• X-Ray certification required; Nitrous Oxide certification highly recommended.
• High school diploma or equivalent; OSHA, HIPAA, CPR and infection control training per law.

Responsibilities

• Clinical Support: Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
• Patient Care: Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Radiography & Diagnostics: Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake as needed.
• Assist with emergencies and maintain CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supplies.
