Heartland Dental LLC is hiring a Dental Assistant in Maryland for a full-time, Monday–Friday role. The position offers a salary range of $19–$24 per hour based on experience, along with benefits. The office emphasizes patient-first care, ongoing learning, and team support.

Greet patients, perform health-history reviews, and assist with a variety of procedures using Dentrix and iTero. Compliance with HIPAA and safety standards is required, with growth opportunities within the Heartland network.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• HIPAA training and PHI protection awareness as required by role.
• Dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification if required by state law.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients from the start of their dental journey and educate them throughout treatment.
• Review patient health history to ensure quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and other diagnostic assessments (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography).
• Provide chairside assistance with four-handed dentistry to supported dentists.
• Use Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping.
• Prepare treatment rooms following safety protocols and OSHA/CDC guidelines.
• Manage supply and inventory and place expediting orders as needed.
• Collaborate with providers to implement Heartland Dental systems and maximize workflow.
