Job Description: Expanded Functions Dental Assistant

Salary: $28/hour

How You’ll Make a Difference

As an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant, you will perform various duties to foster trust and loyalty with patients, supporting the dental team in delivering excellent care.

  • Assist with patient flow and support the dental team throughout the day
  • Assist doctors during treatment procedures
  • Prepare and breakdown operatory rooms
  • Ensure sterilization and safety protocols are followed
  • Maintain equipment and waterlines
  • Set up trays and operatory areas for procedures
  • Support patient charting and education on oral health
  • Perform radiographs and other expanded functions as certified
  • Manage supplies and maintain emergency equipment
  • Perform additional office tasks as needed
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Current Dental Assistant license and certification as required by your state
  • Radiology certification as required
  • CPR or BLS certification
  • At least 2 years of dental assisting experience
  • Proficiency in chairside assisting and infection control
  • Compliance with state CE requirements and certification in expanded functions if applicable
