Job summary

Fayetteville Smiles Dentistry in Fayetteville, GA is seeking a Dental Assistant to learn and perform basic duties under the supervision of a licensed dentist. You will support patient care, maintain infection control, and help ensure a positive patient experience.

Responsibilities

• Learn and perform basic dental assisting functions under the direct supervision of the licensed dentist
• Actively participate in the Perfect Patient Experience by focusing on optimal treatment while addressing patients' needs
• Learn infection control procedures for sterilization and operatory cleaning to ensure safety
• Complete radiographs and intra-oral pictures after radiation safety requirements are met
• Prepare for patient care, assist chairside, and hand off to the front desk for follow-up
• Instruct patients on postoperative and general oral health care as directed by the dentist
• Record patient charting and treatment notes in the digital chart as directed
• Present treatment records, consents and health history to the dentist prior to treatment
• Maintain compliance with State, Federal and other regulations (OSHA, HIPAA, ADA, etc.)
