Job summary

Dentists of Silver Spring is hiring an entry-level dental assistant to learn and perform basic duties under the supervision of a licensed dentist. You will gain valuable experience and opportunities to learn new skills from our team of experienced professionals.

Qualifications

• No prior dental experience required.
• Customer services experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Learn and perform basic dental assisting functions under the direct supervision of the licensed dentist
• Actively participate in the Perfect Patient Experience by keeping patients focused on optimal treatment while addressing their needs
• Learn infection control procedures for sterilization and operatory cleaning and disinfection
• Complete radiographs and intra-oral pictures after radiation safety requirements are met
• Prepare for patient care procedures and provide basic chairside support
• Instruct patients on postoperative and general oral health care as directed by the dentist
• Record patient charting and treatment notes in the digital chart
• Present treatment records, consents and health history to the dentist prior to treatment
• Maintain compliance with State, Federal, and other regulations (OSHA, HIPAA, ADA, etc.)
