Gaithersburg Modern Dentistry is hiring a dental assistant to join our team of experienced professionals. Learn and perform basic dental assisting duties under the supervision of a licensed dentist while delivering the Perfect Patient Experience.

• Customer services experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Learn and perform basic dental assisting functions under the direct supervision of the licensed dentist.
• Actively participate in the Perfect Patient Experience by keeping patients focused on optimal treatment while addressing individual needs.
• Implement infection control procedures for sterilization and operatory cleaning to ensure safety.
• Complete radiographs and intra-oral pictures after radiation safety steps are completed.
• Prepare for patient care procedures and provide basic chairside support and hand off to front desk for follow-up visits.
• Instruct patients on postoperative and general oral health care as directed by the dentist.
• Record patient charting and treatment notes in the digital chart as directed by the dentist.
• Present treatment records, consents and health history to the dentist prior to treatment.
• Maintain compliance with State, Federal, and other regulations (OSHA, HIPAA, ADA, etc.).
