Job summary

Olathe West Dentistry is seeking a Dental Assistant in a learning-focused role. You will learn basic assisting, maintain infection control, and help ensure a positive patient experience while supporting the dentist in charting and patient care.

No prior dental experience is required; customer service skills are preferred. This entry-level position offers CE opportunities, PTO, and growth within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• No prior dental experience required.
• Customer services experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Learn basic dental assisting under dentist supervision.
• Contribute to Perfect Patient Experience by focusing on patient needs.
• Master infection control procedures for sterilization and operatory cleaning.
• Assist with radiographs and intra-oral pictures as directed after radiation safety requirements are met.
• Prepare for patient care and provide chairside support; hand off to front desk for follow-up.
• Instruct patients on postoperative and general oral health care as directed by the dentist.
• Record patient charting and treatment notes in the digital chart.
• Present treatment records and health history to the dentist prior to treatment.
• Maintain compliance with State, Federal, and other regulations (OSHA, HIPAA, ADA, etc.).
