Westbank Dentistry in Harvey, LA is seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team and advance your career through learning from experienced professionals and delivering high-quality patient care with modern technology.

You will assist the dentist to gain patient commitment, maintain a clean and welcoming environment, and perform x-rays and intra-oral photography while ensuring strict sterility and ADA/OSHA compliance.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the dentist as necessary to gain the patient’s commitment for the best possible treatment with urgency.
• Maintain a clean, sterile, and cheerful environment and complete x-rays and intra-oral pictures of patients as appropriate.
• Sterilize and disinfect instruments, equipment, and operatories in accordance with ADA guidelines while complying with OSHA, HIPAA, and related policies.

The Opportunity

As both a patient and clinician advocate, you are a fundamental part of the Perfect Patient Experience. As a Dental Assistant, you will be responsible for:

• Assisting the dentist as necessary to gain the patient’s commitment for the best possible treatment with urgency.
• You will also maintain a clean, sterile, and cheerful environment where your patients feel comfortable and at the direction of the dentist, complete x-rays and intra-oral pictures of patients as appropriate.
• Sterilizing and disinfecting instruments, equipment, and operatories in accordance with the American Dental Association guidelines while maintaining strict compliance with State, Federal, and other regulations, (e.g., OSHA, WC, Dental Board, HIPAA, ADA, DOL, HR policies and practices)
