Job summary

Progressive Dental Center in Marion, IN is seeking an entry-level Dental Assistant to join our compassionate team and help uphold our standard of quality dental care. You will prepare the work area, take x-rays when needed, assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, and help educate patients on post-operative care.

We value a positive attitude and willingness to obtain Indiana X-ray certification within a year, plus CPR.

Qualifications

• Dental assistant certificate from an accredited vocational school (preferred, but not required)
• Willing to obtain Indiana X-ray certification within 1 year of hire
• Current CPR certification (or willing to obtain upon hire)
• Knowledge of aseptic and sterilization techniques
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Follow instruction and training guidelines for endodontic practice

Responsibilities

• Gather patient information and health background
• Prepare the work area for procedures
• Take x-rays of patients’ teeth when necessary and display results for the dentist
• Assist the dentist during examinations and dental procedures
• Prepare materials for surgical procedures
• Educate patients on post-operative instructions
• Restock treatment areas and monitor inventory
• Sterilization, adhere to offices standards and universal precautions

Monday - Wednesday 8am - 6pm, Thursday: 8am - 5pm,
