Job summary

Aspen Dental in Cedar Rapids, IA is hiring an Entry-Level Dental Assistant. No prior dental experience or certification is required; you’ll receive paid training through our DANB partnership and a clear path toward becoming a Certified Dental Assistant (CDA).

You’ll assist during treatment, set up and breakdown operatories, manage infection control, support patient charting, and collaborate with the dental team to provide exceptional patient care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Radiology certification within state timeframe.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build rapport with patients.
• Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.

Entry-Level Dental Assistant

No dental experience or certification is required to apply. As an Entry-Level Dental Assistant, you’ll get paid, hands‑on training through our partnership with the Dental Assisting National Board (DANB) and a clear path toward becoming a Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) — all while working alongside a team that helps patients in your community every day.

Salary: $18 - $20 / hour

Job Type: Full-Time

Schedule: Varies by independently owned and operated location; part-time, full-time, and flexible scheduling available*

What You’ll Do Day-to-Day:

• Assist during a variety of treatment procedures
• Set up and breakdown operatory post treatment
• Manage infection control – prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment
• Supports patient charting for Doctors
• Perform various office tasks as necessary
• Collaborate with other members of the dental team to provide exceptional patient care

• Obtain your radiology and safety certification within the required timeframe for the state of practice
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients of all ages and backgrounds
