Job summary

Heartland Dental LLC is seeking a Dental Assistant open to EFDA's for a full-time position in Harrisburg, PA. The role supports dentists with four-handed dentistry, takes x-rays, and manages room setup and patient education.

You’ll use Dentrix for scheduling and records, ensure safety per OSHA and HIPAA guidelines, handle supply orders, and contribute to efficient office workflow while delivering excellent patient care.

Qualifications

• Must have X-ray certification or as required by state law
• Experience in fast-paced, customer-centric environment
• PHI protection and HIPAA training as required

Responsibilities

• Greet and educate patients from start of treatment journey
• Review patient health history to ensure quality care
• Take and process x-rays and diagnostic images (iTero, digital photography)
• Provide chairside assistance to dentists during procedures
• Use Dentrix for scheduling and record-keeping
• Prepare treatment rooms following OSHA and CDC guidelines
• Manage supplies and place expeditious orders as needed
• Collaborate with team to optimize office workflow
