Job summary

Academy Kids Dental, Vision, & Orthodontics in Colorado Springs, CO is seeking a Dental Assistant - EDDA/EFDA to support the dentist and hygienist in providing high quality and compassionate care to all patients. This position will report to the Lead Dental Assistant.

Pay range: $19.75-$27/hr. It offers generous pay with monthly bonus opportunities, PTO and paid holidays, and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision insurance, 401K & more.

Qualifications

• Radiology education and state-required training is required.
• Active EDDA/EFDA certification or registration is required.
• Friendly, outgoing demeanor and strong listening skills are essential.
• Ability to multi-task and complete dental tasks accurately and promptly.
• Knowledge of e-Clinical Works is a plus.
• Previous dental office experience is preferred.
• Current BLS CPR certification is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Create a friendly relationship with patients and parents and educate them on good oral health
• Organize and sterilize dental instruments and workstations per OSHA standards
• Provide clear, effective, and encouraging oral hygiene instructions
• Collect and document clear, concise, and accurate patient records
• Ensure practice is clean and presentable to patients to include cleaning restrooms, patient lobby, mopping, vacuuming, dusting etc.
• Participate in other duties that support the mission of providing high-quality and compassionate dental, vision, and orthodontic services to underserved children
