Job summary

Affordable Dentures & Implants, part of Affordable Care, LLC, seeks a compassionate Dental Assistant to support denture procedures, implants, and removable prosthetics alongside experienced dentists and in-house lab professionals.

You will ensure chairside support, accurate recordkeeping, and adherence to infection control while educating patients on treatment options and post‑operative care. Training available.

Qualifications

• Missouri EFDA certification required in addition to X-ray certification.
• Strong communication and patient service skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding patient care and create a welcoming, positive experience from check-in through treatment.
• Prepare operatories, instruments, equipment, and materials before each patient appointment.
• Assist dentists during denture procedures, dental implant placement, oral surgery, extractions, and prosthetic treatments.
• Take and assist with denture impressions, select appropriate impression trays, and prepare wax bites under dentist direction.
• Assist with denture insertions, adjustments, relines, repairs, and other expanded duties as allowed by state law.
• Educate patients on treatment plans, denture options, implant procedures, post-operative care, and financial packages.
• Obtain and document patient medical histories, treatment information, and clinical notes.
• Take dental radiographs (X-rays) per state certification requirements.
• Maintain infection prevention and sterilization standards.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering clinical supplies.
• Support daily office operations and maintain a clean clinical environment.
• Travel occasionally for training and continuing education.
