Spectrum Healthcare Resources is seeking a Dental Assistant for the Daytona VA Clinic in Daytona, FL. The role is full-time, 40 hours weekly, with a Monday–Friday 8:00am–4:30pm schedule and a comprehensive benefits package.

Requirements include a CODA-accredited dental assistant program, at least 1 year of experience, proficiency in four-handed dentistry, a Dental Radiological certificate, and current BLS/CPR.

Qualifications

• Candidate completed CODA-accredited dental assistant program.
• At least 1 year of dental assisting experience.
• Proficient in four-handed dentistry and assisting with surgeries/procedures.
• Must hold a Dental Radiological Certificate and BLS/CPR.

Responsibilities

• Assist chairside in all dental disciplines including prosthodontics, periodontics, oral surgery, and endodontics.
• Receive patients, document care, and educate patients about their care.
• Instruct and assist dental trainees in the clinic.

Education

CODA-accredited dental assistant program (1 year)

1+ year dental assisting experience

Four-handed dentistry proficiency

Oral surgery support

Dental Assistant - Daytona

Spectrum Healthcare Resources has an opportunity for a Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team to provide services at the Dayton VA Clinic in Dayton, FL.

Requirements

• Dental Assistants shall have successfully completed a one (1) year dental assistant program accredited by the American Dental Association's Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA).
• Dental Assistants must possess a minimum of one (1) year of experience as a dental assistant.
• Dental Assistants shall be competent in using four-handed dentistry, assisting with specialty procedures such as oral surgery, periodontal therapy, endodontics, prosthodontics and implant placement and restorations
• A Dental Radiological Certificate
• A current BLS and or/CPR card

Responsibilities

• The Dental Assistant shall perform chairside assistant duties in all phases of dentistry including but not limited to, prosthodontics, periodontics, oral and maxillofacial surgery and endodontics.
• The Dental Assistant shall be responsible for receiving routing patients, recording information related to patient care, utilization of all dental programs, and providing patient with education material related to their care. Following surgical procedures, the dental assistant shall provide proper verbal and written post-op instructions.
• The Dental Assistant shall instruct, assist, and answer questions for a variety of dental trainees in the Dental Clinic.
