Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• X-ray certification preferred according to state practice.
• Certified dental assistant credentials preferred according to state practices.
• Bi-lingual in Spanish a plus, depending on location.
• Uphold integrity and comply with regulations and company programs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality and compassionate care to every patient.
• Guide parents of minors and patients through office processes before treatment.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and postoperative instructions.
• Prepare patient for examination and treatment.
• Take x-rays and save to patient charts (location dependent).
• Maintain readiness of hygiene bay and operatory rooms.
• Prepare tray setups for dental procedures.
• Mix materials and prepare impressions.
• Sterilize and disinfect instruments, equipment, chairs and rooms.
• Assist with treatment: document patient information, assist with suctioning, retractors, sutures.
• Pour and polish impressions; fabricate custom trays.
• Adhere to regulations, standards, and compliance programs.
