Job summary

Livonia Dental Care, part of Heartland Dental, is seeking a Dental Assistant with 2+ years of experience to join our team. The role involves welcoming patients, reviewing health histories, taking x‑rays, and assisting dentists with a range of procedures in a fast-paced setting.

You will work with Dentrix for scheduling and records, follow OSHA and CDC safety guidelines, and contribute to a collaborative, growth-focused office culture. Monday-Saturday flexibility is required.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment.
• Dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification as required by state law.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet and educate patients from the start of their dental journey and support patient comfort.
• Review patient health history to ensure quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and diagnostic assessments (e.g., iTero 3D scanner, digital photography).
• Provide chairside assistance during procedures in four-handed dentistry.
• Use Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping.
