Job summary

Community Health Care, Inc. is seeking a Dental Assistant to join the Clinton team. The role involves instrument sterilization, x-ray imaging, charting, and adherence to infection control. You will prepare and maintain patient records while supporting dental clinicians in daily procedures.

The ideal candidate will have Iowa radiography registration and CPR certification, with education aligning to the state requirements; benefits include a Monday–Friday schedule and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• State Board-approved radiation seminar completion or student status.
• Registered in Iowa with Radiography qualification and CPR certification.
• Experience with dental X-ray equipment is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Cleans, sterilizes and sharpens dental instruments; oils and cleans equipment.
• Follows infection control recommendations and safety guidelines.
• Knowledge of consents for dental procedures (oral surgery, papoose, endo, etc.).
• Takes dental X-ray photographs; develops and mounts X-ray films, including urgent care patients.
• Prepares and files case histories and treatment records; keeps chart up-to-date.

Dental Assistant Job Specific Duties:

• Cleans, sterilizes and sharpens dental instruments. Oils and cleans equipment.
• Follows infection control recommendations and safety guidelines.
• Knowledge of all consents and what they are used for (oral surgery, and papoose, endo, etc.).
• Takes dental X-ray photographs; develops and mounts X-ray films, including urgent care patients.

Requirements:

Education:Verifiable attendance at a four-hour State Board-approved radiation seminar, with certificate to operate dental X-ray equipment, or student status.

Licensure:Registered in the State of Iowa with additional qualification in Radiography along with current CPR certification.
