Job summary

East Liberty Family Health Care Center is seeking a full-time Dental Assistant to join our clinical support team. You will work with the dentist and dental staff to deliver quality care to patients in a fast-paced, faith-based setting.

The role requires PA radiology certification, 2 years of experience, and a high school diploma or equivalent, with the aim to maintain excellent chairside manners and efficient patient management across multiple clinic locations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; dental assisting program preferred.
• PA radiology certification required.
• Two years of experience required.
• Must maintain excellent chairside manner in a fast-paced clinic.
• Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
• Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Must have reliable transportation and report to Wilkinsburg, East Liberty, and Lincoln-Lemington locations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as chairside assistant for the dentist or other dental team members.
• Prepare before treatment and disinfect after treatment of the operatory and instruments following OSHA and CDC guidelines.
• Practice four-handed dentistry to provide safe and efficient dental treatment and patient management.
• Expose and process dental radiographs for proper diagnosis and treatment planning.
• Prepare lab cases and fabricate dental impressions, models and appliances.
• Provide patients with post-operative and oral hygiene instructions.
• Manage dentist's schedule to ensure prompt and efficient dental treatment.
• Maintain and monitor dental equipment.
