University of Pittsburgh UDHS seeks a full-time dental assistant to perform chairside dental assisting and radiography, guiding patients through visits and ensuring complete charts. The role coordinates patient flow and maintains infection control in operatories and with instruments.

The position operates on-campus in Pittsburgh within a team-oriented clinic. A High School Diploma/GED is required; PA dental radiology certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with dental assisting tasks and sterile technique.
• Respect for patient confidentiality and HIPAA guidelines.
• Ability to prepare operatory and assist faculty practitioners.

Responsabilités

• Operatory preparation and chairside assistance to faculty practitioners in UDHS.
• Maintain an aseptic environment; sterilize and organize dental tools.
• Follow OSHA and infection control guidelines, and HIPAA rules.
• Maintain and dispense inventory and instrument cassettes.
• Update patient records and schedule follow-up visits.
• Assist with clerical duties as needed.
