DAMIAN FAMILY HEALTH CENTER in Long Island City, NY is hiring a Dental Assistant to support dental providers and maintain high-quality patient care. The role covers chairside assistance, infection control, radiography, inventory, and accurate EMR documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited Dental Assistant training program required.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English required; bilingual Spanish strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated computer literacy, including EMR/EHR experience.
• Prior ambulatory care or dental practice experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provide chairside assistance during dental procedures using four-handed dentistry.
• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials before procedures.
• Assist in maintaining infection control and sterilization per OSHA standards.
• Perform dental radiographic procedures following NYS regulations and safety standards.
• Document lab activities and coordinate with dental laboratories.
• Manage patient flow and escort patients through their visits.
• Maintain accurate patient records in the EMR as per policy.
• Follow universal precautions and DFCC workflows and procedures.
