Job summary

Independence Dental Services is seeking a friendly Dental Assistant to join our clinical team in Utah. The role focuses on chairside support, patient comfort, and maintaining a clean, organized operatory.

You'll handle sterilization per OSHA/CDC guidelines, assist with procedures, and provide patient education, scheduling, and administrative support as needed. A CDA or RDA and X-ray certification are preferred or required per state regulations.

Qualifications

• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) preferred
• X-ray certification (Required / Preferred - depending on state regulations)
• Knowledge of Patient Management Software.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Compassionate, patient-focused, and team-oriented

Responsibilities

• Chairside support during procedures and prepare treatment rooms.
• Hand instruments to dentist and anticipate needs.
• Ensure patient comfort before, during, and after treatment.
• Greet patients and review medical histories.
• Schedule appointments and assist with billing or charting.
• Maintain operatory cleanliness and sterilization per OSHA/CDC guidelines
