Job summary

Green Dental Care in Parker, CO is seeking a dependable Dental Assistant to join our team. You will assist the doctor chairside, prepare treatment rooms, take radiographs, and maintain accurate patient records while delivering a welcoming, patient-focused experience.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of dental assisting experience, current X-ray and CPR/BLS certifications, and strong communication skills to educate patients and coordinate care with the front office.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of dental assisting experience.
• Current X-ray certification or ability to obtain in accordance with state requirements.
• Current CPR/BLS certification required.
• Previous experience presenting treatment plans or coordinating patient care is preferred.
• Strong understanding of dental procedures, terminology, and patient education.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist chairside during a variety of procedures while ensuring a comfortable and positive patient experience.
• Prepare, sterilize, and maintain instruments and operatories in accordance with infection control and OSHA protocols.
• Take digital radiographs (X-rays) and intraoral images as directed.
• Accurately record and update patient medical histories, treatment notes, and clinical documentation.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene, treatment recommendations, and post-operative instructions.
• Present treatment plans, review financial options, and help patients understand the value of recommended care.
• Coordinate treatment scheduling and assist patients in moving forward with their care plans.
• Maintain operatory cleanliness, organization, and inventory of clinical supplies.
• Collaborate closely with the doctor and front office team to ensure efficient patient flow and an exceptional patient experience.
• Provide front office support as needed, including answering phones, scheduling appointments, and communicating with patients.
