Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Training certification as a Dental Assistant preferred.
• One year relevant experience preferred.
• Demonstrated proficiency with a dental electronic record (EDR) strongly preferred.
• Must hold current MA Licensure to practice as a Dental Assistant.
• Must have a current BLS certification.
• Certification in radiology is required.

Responsibilities

• Assists the dentist in providing a wide variety of dental procedures.
• Maintains supplies and equipment including x-ray developers/processor and pour models.
• Works with the dentist to improve their skills to function as independently as legal regulations permit.
• Receives and prepares patients.
• Charts dental records, updates medical and dental histories and maintains dental records.
• Sterilizes dental instruments including hand pieces and disinfects operatories.
• Any and all other duties as assigned.
