Job summary

Unify Community Health at Northeast Community Center in Spokane, WA is seeking a Dental Assistant to support dental providers, maintain patient records, take X-rays, and participate in infection control and patient education. The position offers a 40-hour work week, EPIC EMR usage, bilingual pay adjustments, and a $5,000 hiring/retention bonus structure.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
• Registration as a Surgical Technologist if assisting a Dentist in the operating room.
• Registered Dental Assistant or EFDA certification.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred at a level 10.
• Basic knowledge of medical/dental terminology and dental anatomy.
• Basic knowledge of dental materials and instruments.
• Basic knowledge of infection control techniques.
• Ability to perform four-handed dental assisting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain patient records and update medical history and vitals.
• Conduct dental X-ray procedures and store radiographs in the EDR.
• Set up and record periodontal charting per Provider instruction.
• Prepare and set up instruments for patient exams.
• Assist with infection control and instrument sterilization.
