Job summary

One Community Health in Oregon seeks a Dental Assistant Apprentice to gain hands-on experience while supporting patient care and learning essential dental assisting skills. The program runs 12–14 months with on-the-job training and online coursework in Hood River and The Dalles.

Starting wage is $20.00 per hour with a bilingual differential of $0.75 per hour and training covered by the program. No prior healthcare experience is required and RHS exam is part of the pathway.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• Proof of High School Diploma or GED (copy of diploma, GED certificate or transcript).
• If High School is outside the U.S./Canada: translated diploma/transcript with graduation date and sealed evaluation report.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 18 years of age or older


• Proof of High School Diploma or GED. Copy of Diploma, GED certificate or original/official transcript mailed in a sealed envelope from the school from an institution recognized in the U.S education system.


• If High School is outside of the U.S or Canada: Copy of high school or postsecondary diploma/transcript with graduation date. Copy of document translated into English. Original/official equivalency report in a sealed enveloped from the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services or the American Association of Collegiate registrars and Admissions Officers. DANB will return all original documents.

Compensation:

• Hourly/Non-Exempt: $20.00-20.75 per hour


• Bilingual Differential: Additionally, we offer $0.75 per hour as compensation for bilingual proficiency in both English and Spanish.
