Amherst Orthodontics is looking for a passionate and energetic Dental/Orthodontic Assistant to join our growing, well-established, and quality practice in Amherst, NH.

Position Summary:

At Amherst Orthodontics we are focused on delivering exceptional care to our patients. We are looking for a friendly, energetic professional. Previous dental knowledge is encouraged but not required, our team would be excited to train the right individual. The applicant we are looking for must be dependable, motivated, have the ability to multi-task and work well in a team environment.

The Dental/Orthodontic Assistant is an asset to the clinical team. The orthodontic assistant is responsible for efficiently assisting the doctor during procedures, setting up operatories, sterilization, lab work, and records including iTero scans, x-rays and imaging. All while maintaining professional and fostering a caring trusting relationship with the patients.

What you will be doing - key responsibilities:


  • Perform various orthodontic procedures under direction of orthodontist including banding and bonding procedures
  • Conduct band fittings
  • Place and remove separators
  • Change arch wires or ties
  • Deliver retainers and other removable appliances
  • Chart and record treatment information in chart
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the Doctor, Clinical Lead, and Practice Manager.


Schedule:


  • 9 hour shift
  • 4 Day work week
  • No evenings or weekends
